Italian SRT Translator

Send an .srt file, get it back in Italian within 24 hours — same cue count, same timestamps, nothing shifted.

Check your Italian .srt before you pay anyone

Drop a subtitle file below. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing leaves your machine. You get the cue count, the worst reading speeds, the lines that are too long for Italian, and a corrected .srt you can download and keep whether or not you ever buy anything.

Why Italian subtitles specifically

Italy subtitles almost everything, from festival films to corporate training video to broadcast accessibility. Italian .srt work is unglamorous and constant, which is exactly the kind of demand worth building a page around.

The part most tools get wrong

Italian contractions and elisions change sentence length unpredictably: una amica becomes un’amica in one clause and stays separate in the next. Literal translation produces text that is grammatical but reads at the wrong speed.

That is why this is not a one-click converter. Every file goes through machine translation first, then a manual pass on cue length, line breaks and reading speed before it reaches you.

Reading speed in Italian

Italian is comfortable at 16 characters per second, slightly above Spanish and French, because the language is phonetically transparent and reads quickly. The risk in Italian is not speed but register: machine output tends towards written formality in spoken dialogue.

Questions

Is the checker really free?

Yes, and it does not upload your file anywhere. It parses the subtitle locally in your browser, reports what is wrong, and hands you back a corrected .srt. If that is all you needed, take the file and go.

How long does one file take?

Under 24 hours for anything up to 60 minutes of runtime. A full season is usually 3–5 days depending on how many languages you need.

Can you match an existing Italian subtitle style?

Yes — send one episode you already like and I will match its capitalisation, punctuation and line-break habits across the rest.

What if the timing is off?

It will not be, because timestamps are never regenerated. If a specific cue still plays wrong, tell me the cue number and it gets fixed the same day.

Do you keep my files?

No. The original and the translation are deleted 24 hours after delivery.
