Russian SRT Translator
Send an .srt file, get it back in Russian within 24 hours — same cue count, same timestamps, nothing shifted.
Check your Russian .srt before you pay anyone
Drop a subtitle file below. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing leaves your machine. You get the cue count, the worst reading speeds, the lines that are too long for Russian, and a corrected .srt you can download and keep whether or not you ever buy anything.

Why Russian subtitles specifically
Russian is one of the largest non-English video audiences, and Russian viewers are used to subtitled releases across film, series and technical content. Russian subtitle files are also a common deliverable for game localisation.
The part most tools get wrong
Russian expands 10–15% against English, and Cyrillic glyphs are wider on average than Latin ones, so the safe character count per line is lower than the usual 42. A file that passed an English check will overflow in Russian.
That is why this is not a one-click converter. Every file goes through machine translation first, then a manual pass on cue length, line breaks and reading speed before it reaches you.
Reading speed in Russian
Russian is comfortable at around 14 characters per second. Because Cyrillic is visually wider, two lines of 42 Cyrillic characters feel longer than two lines of 42 Latin characters — the limit is the same number but the experience is not.
Russian subtitle conventions most converters ignore
- Quotation marks are guillemets « », and the dash in dialogue is an em dash, not a hyphen.
- Comma as decimal separator, space as thousands separator.
- Encoding must be UTF-8 or Cyrillic turns into unreadable bytes in older players.
What you get back
- The same number of cues, in the same order, with the same cue numbers.
- Timestamps untouched — only the text between the timing lines is replaced.
- Line breaks re-cut for Russian reading speed, not inherited from English.
- A file that opens in VLC without a single warning.

Questions
Is the checker really free?
Yes, and it does not upload your file anywhere. It parses the subtitle locally in your browser, reports what is wrong, and hands you back a corrected .srt. If that is all you needed, take the file and go.
How long does one file take?
Under 24 hours for anything up to 60 minutes of runtime. A full season is usually 3–5 days depending on how many languages you need.
Can you match an existing Russian subtitle style?
Yes — send one episode you already like and I will match its capitalisation, punctuation and line-break habits across the rest.
What if the timing is off?
It will not be, because timestamps are never regenerated. If a specific cue still plays wrong, tell me the cue number and it gets fixed the same day.
Do you keep my files?
No. The original and the translation are deleted 24 hours after delivery.
