Privacy Policy
Short version: the checker never sends us your file. If you email us an order we get your email address and the subtitle file, we use them to do the job, and we delete the files 24 hours after delivery. There are no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers on this site.
1. The free checker: nothing is uploaded
The checker runs entirely in your browser. The file you drop in is read by JavaScript on your own device and never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We have no server that receives it, so we cannot see it, store it or recover it. If you download the corrected file, it is generated locally and saved by your browser.
One consequence worth knowing: because nothing is uploaded, clearing your browser data removes any state the page kept.
2. When you email us an order

We do not use your email address for marketing, and we do not add you to a list.
3. Payments
Payments are handled by our payment provider (Creem) acting as merchant of record. Your card details go to them directly; we never see or store them. They process your name, email and payment details under their own privacy policy, which we will point you to at checkout.
4. Hosting and technical logs
The site is served by Vercel and its DNS is managed by Cloudflare. Like any web host, they process technical request data — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp — in order to deliver the page and protect the service from abuse. We do not build profiles from this data and we do not combine it with anything else. Their retention is set by their own policies.
5. Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third-party embed on this site. If that changes, this section changes and the date at the top changes with it.
6. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Data reaches only the processors named above, and only for the purposes described: the payment provider for money, the host and DNS provider for delivery, and your own email provider because email is how we talk.
We will disclose data if a competent authority lawfully requires it, and we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.
7. International transfers
We are based in China and our hosting and payment providers are outside it. That means your data may be processed in the United States or the European Union. Where required, those transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive it in a portable format, to object to a specific use, or to withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to gwdaeoi@outlook.com and we will act within 30 days. We will not charge you for a reasonable request and we will not treat you differently for making one.
If you are in the EU or the UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you wrote to us first, but the right stands either way.
Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract for an order, legitimate interests for keeping the site working and preventing abuse, and legal obligation for tax records.
9. Children
The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us an order, write to us and it will be deleted.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order emails and files is limited to the person doing the work. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Material changes will be mentioned on the page itself, not slipped in silently.
